Anthea is an interdisciplinary researcher and legal scholar who focuses on new ways of thinking about complex and evolving global fields. She is a Professor at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at the Australian National University (ANU) and a Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School.
Anthea is one of the world’s most highly cited international lawyers of her generation and has won numerous awards for her work in public international law, international
trade and investment, and global governance. Her latest book, Six Faces of
Globalization, was selected as one of the Best Books of 2021 by The Financial Times and Fortune Magazine.
Anthea describes herself as an “intellectual nomad,” a creative thinker and voracious reader who seeks patterns and insight across silos, disciplines and jurisdictions. She is a keen collaborator and enjoys convening groups of experts and thinkers across law, economics, political science, sociology and security studies, sharing ideas and inspiration to generate fresh perspectives.
